Hours of work

Full Time – Permanent 40 hours per week, following work pattern:
Mon to Thurs 7am to 4pm
Fri 7am to 2pm

Salary

£29,500 per Annum.

The role within TTF

This is a varied, interesting and challenging role to support the ongoing growth and demand of our business. Prior experience of the industry would be an advantage. However the successful candidate will be trained on the job in the area of high frequency plastic sealing equipment.

The Role

We are looking for a service engineer to join out team. A background within the electrical and mechanical engineering industries would be helpful. Experience in the area(s) of machinery service and maintenance may offer some relevant transferable skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of High Frequency PVC sealing equipment, both at our Leeds base and at customer sites throughout the UK and occasionally abroad. You must be flexible with regards to travel and overnight stays.

Transferable skills and experience will be applicable from a variety of work/education/training backgrounds. We would like to invite candidates who can demonstrate their skills and training relevant to this job role description alongside the person specification below.

Skills, experience & attributes

Essential Criteria

• Experience working on control circuits
• Ability to follow and interpret circuit diagrams
• Experience in fault finding
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
• Full (clean) UK driving licence
• Close attention to detail
• Being comfortable with traveling and working away from home
• Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
• Ability to multi-task, flexible and adaptable to change in a varied, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and use own initiative
• Problem-solving skills, common sense and the ability to think on your feet
• Keen team player, but also comfortable in working independently
• Efficient and strong work ethic
• Professionalism, maturity and integrity with colleagues, customers and the wider team
• Well presented, responsible, dependable, diligent, reliable and trustworthy
• Comfortable and able to use desktops applications (Word, Microsoft Office, One Drive specifically Outlook)
• Experience and knowledge of working with hand and power tools

• Vocational electrical qualification
• Industrial PLC knowledge and experience
• Forklift Licence
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Outlook, Word and One Drive
• Experience of job/time management systems


Benefits
A company vehicle will be provided available for personal use. Fuel, overnight accommodation and meal expenses while out on site will be covered under expenses. A company pension scheme (NEST), on-site parking, occasional company social and/or team building off-site events are also included. A vehicle, uniform, and required tools all provided.
Location

We are recruiting for a field service engineer at our offices and workshop base Leeds, LS12, West Yorkshire. Currently our engineers travel across the UK and occasionally abroad.

Holiday Entitlement

21 days annual leave per annum, from January to December plus Bank Holidays. Five days are retained to cover an extended Christmas and New Year closure period.

Overtime

In the event of overtime being required, this will be paid as follows; Monday to Friday, at single time/pay. Occasionally, time and a half pay for Saturdays and double time pay for Sundays/Bank holidays will be available, with the prior agreement of the line manager.
