Job Title: CNC Setter / Operator
Location: Margate, Kent
Salary: up to £30,000 + Overtime
Hours: WEEK 1: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm / WEEK 2: 2pm-10pm
Our Client:
Is a well-known manufacturing company that specialises in the design and production of products. With over a century of experience, the company operates as part of a global network, offering products and services to industries including oil and gas, chemicals, aviation and food and beverage sectors.
Role Summary:
As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will play a vital role in our client's production process. You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to manufacture components with precision and efficiency.
Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
Set and operate CNC multi-tasking lathes to manufacture components from raw materials.
Ensure products are to the highest quality before being sent to the assembly line.
Produce components in a timely manner.
Inspect work to engineers drawings using various measuring equipment.
Report and quality defects to the Supervisor.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks on the machines.
Maintain good housekeeping and report any issues promptly.
Optimise efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times, plus tool life and monitoring.
De-burring, cleaning and final inspection of products.
Completing all required paperwork to ensure tractability.
Carry out other duties as requested.
Experience and skills required for this position:
Experience of setting and operating CNC.
Experience of reading and editing programs.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Be able to use a range of measuring equipment to ensure the accuracy against the drawing.
The ability to perform repetitive tasks over a long period of time.
Knowledge of operating twin spindle machines would be advantageous.
Experience of working with Mazak controls would be advantageous.
