Crynodeb
1. To provide a service to inpatients and outpatients with support provided by senior dietitians and dietetic assistant.2. To undertake and develop the dietetic service for a number of in-patient wards, including general medical, stroke and surgical.3. To be responsible for managing appropriate patients referred from ward areas, using local protocols.4. To be responsible for patients fed enterally within own caseload, including periods of cover. To calculate patient requirements and ensure these are met by recommending specialised products and the appropriate administration of these via naso-gastric or gastrostomy tubes.5. To regularly monitor individual biochemical status regularly to ensure correct nutrition received.
