Summary


Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Data Quality Coordinator. You will have responsibility for organising and prioritising their workload within the Cancer Data Team, providing effective administrative support. You need to have excellent communication skills, be effective in working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff and have a flexible and patient centred approach.If you have strong administrative, database and data collection skills then this is for you.

You will communicate effectively as part of a team and exercise sound judgement in relation to problem solving. Ensure a high level of data accuracy and high standards are maintained within the service.

This job role has two main areas of focus of equal importance, firstly to improve COSD data quality, secondly to prepare cancer harm review timelines. Time will be split equally across this areas.

This role includes hybrid working.

· Review cancer records and add essential staging and performance data.

· Liaise with the core MDT members to review patient notes and outcomes.

· Prepare cancer patient timelines for cancer harm reviews.

· Ensure decisions, management and treatment plans are recorded on Somerset appropriately.

· Introduce procedures to rectify data quality issues

· Provide training as required to colleagues within cancer services and the wider Trust

· To develop and maintain good organisational skills.

· Under the supervision of the Deputy Service Delivery Manager to work on delegated projects relating to local policy and service development.

· To work within trust clinical guidelines and to have a good working knowledge of national and local standards.

· To carry out duties as instructed by line manager.
