Crynodeb
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Apprentice Electrician to join our electrical team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a qualified electrician to assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Job Role:
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in accordance with industry regulations and company standards.
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
• Support in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults under supervision.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficiency and safety on-site.
• Attend training and development courses, both practical and theoretical, to work towards qualification as a fully trained electrician.
• Work collaboratively with site teams, contractors, and supervisors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Comply with all company policies, site regulations, and industry legislation.
Future prospects: For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to progress into a full-time role.
Training: Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete Installation and Maintenance Electrician Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Qualifications required: Four GCSEs at grade 4/C or above plus GCSE English (grade 4 or above) and Maths (grade 5 or above)

Other information:
Pick up available around Barnsley Town Centre however driving licence is preferred as work is based in Rotherham and not at a fixed site. Fuel stipend of £20 per week is provided for use of own vehicle.
Due to the nature of the role please only apply for this role if you are aged over 18 years old.
About the company: We are an electrical contracting company based in Rotherham and working throughout Yorkshire and Derbyshire. We undertake a variety of electrical works and have over 15 years of experience in the electrical industry.
