Key Responsibilities
As a Laboratory Animal Technician, you will:
- Provide care for laboratory animals, ensuring their well-being through routine day-to-day animal husbandry duties including feeding and watering.
- Conduct breeding of genetically modified animals with proven techniques.
- Strictly adhere to ethical and regulatory standards to maintain the highest quality research support service.
- Participate in weekend work on a rota basis to ensure continuous care for the animals.
- Collaborate with researchers to determine and efficiently implement protocols that support their ambitious research projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Previous experience working in an animal research environment.
- A professional background in animal technology.
- Proven experience in breeding genetically modified animals.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to providing outstanding care for laboratory animals.
