One Ashford Hospital, Kent has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operating Department Practitioner to join the team. We are looking for practitioners with skills and experience in anaesthetics, scrub or recovery.
HOURS: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with some Saturday shifts as required.
OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONER
Reporting to the Theatre Manager or Speciality Lead, you will be required to provide a high standard of individualised patient care as part of the operating theatre team.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Registered Nurse with NMC or Operating Department Practitioner with HCPC
EXPERIENCE
o Clinical nursing experience in a theatre setting
o Anaesthetic, Scrub or Recovery experience
SKILLS
o Demonstrable knowledge and skills in the practitioners area of clinical practice
o Sound written, numerical and verbal communication skills
o Sound computer skills using MS Office Suite and web based reporting systems
o Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
o Demonstrable Customer Service skills
o Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
DESIRABLES
o Private Healthcare experience
o Enthusiasm for cross functional working such as ambulatory care
