Positions Available: 1 Full-Time (35 hrs/week), 1 Part-Time (21 hrs/week)

Salary: £14-£20 per hour

Contract: 2-3 months with the potential to extend

Location: North London office - hybrid working available

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and experienced professionals to join our team as Interim Specialist VAWG Advocates. In this vital role, you will provide immediate, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive support to women impacted by all forms of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), including domestic abuse and harmful practices.

You will hold a mixed-risk caseload and offer one-to-one support, including crisis intervention, risk and needs assessments, safety planning, and advocacy across a range of issues such as housing, benefits, immigration, and legal protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver survivor-centred, culturally appropriate support to women affected by VAWG.
  • Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and create individual safety and support plans.
  • Make referrals to MARAC and safeguarding where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of multi-agency partners including police, social care, and health services.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to service monitoring and evaluation.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience supporting women survivors of domestic abuse and/or harmful practices.
  • A strong understanding of VAWG, safeguarding procedures, and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Knowledge of legal, welfare, and immigration systems affecting survivors.
  • The ability to manage a demanding caseload while working independently and collaboratively.
  • A commitment to anti-racism, equality, and empowerment of Black and Minoritised women.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
