Main purpose of the role: To support the religious activities of the Vrajdham Haveli. The Mukhyaji will undertake private daily worship to perform the Seva of Shrinathji (Lord Krishna) during each of the 8 Darshans. This will involve attending to the divine deity 8 times a day. The Mukhyaji will also support with maintaining the Haveli to allow worshipers to practice the Pushti Marg religion. In this role, the Mukhyaji will be entirely supported by the Trustees and Haveli Manager, who lead the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Private Daily Seva -
• Undertaking the private Seva of Shrinathji (Lord Krishna) on a daily basis to enable worshipers to have Darshan (see and adore) the divine deity 8 times a day. This will involve:
o Dressing and adorning the deity with jewellery in accordance with the 8 different Darshan times during the day (Vastra and Shringar)
o Waking the deity.
o Preparing and offering specific food (Bhog) to the deity.
o Putting the deity to sleep.
o Playing traditional Haveli music i.e. religious hymns to the deity (Raag)
• Following the principles of the Pushti Marg faith.

2. Duties to support the Haveli (Temple):
• Living within the Temple.
• Working with the leadership team to ensure that the Temple is open at specific times to ensure worshipers can participate in daily Darshan as per the tradition.
• Maintaining the sanctity and cleanliness of the Temple and its surroundings.
• Supporting the Manager, Trustees and volunteers to ensure that the Temple is a welcoming and a spiritually enriching place for worshipers.

Job Hours:
• Under the direction of the leadership team, the Mukhyaji must ensure that all hours of worship are open and available to the community & worshipers, following the prescribed schedule (Darshan Timings) of Pushti Marg Havelis.

• The position requires a commitment to the daily rituals and activities of the temple, with flexibility for special events and festivals

Darshan Timings:
Haveli opening times
Mangla Darshan - 8.00 – 8.30am
Shingar Darshan - 10.30 – 11.00am
Rajbhog Darshan - 12- 12.30 pm
Utthapan Darshan – 4 – 4.30 pm
Sandhya Darshan - 5 – 5.30 pm
Shayan Darshan - 6.30 – 7.30 pm
Aarti Darshan – 7.30 - 8.00pm


Skills, qualifications and experience required:
• Must be a qualified Mukhyaji who is well-versed in Pushti Marg practices.
• Must have received training by a descendant of Vallabhacharya Mahaprabhuji.
• Previous experience working in a Haveli.
• Deep understanding of the Hindu calendar and religious occasions.
• Devotion and commitment to the Seva of Shrinathji (Lord Krishna).
• Compassionate, respectful, and patient demeanor.
