Summary
Responsible for the efficient and effective running of an Adult Social Care cohort.
You are required to develop coherently planned and sequenced curriculum maps aligned to the chosen qualification specifications, providing learners with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed at Willow Green and in life.
You monitor, track and record the individual progress of the learners against their SMART Targets. Evidence gathered is used to measure progress against the commissioned contracts with Adult Social Care.
Responsibilities
1. Initial and ongoing assessments of learners’ needs and capabilities.
2. To set and review, on a termly basis, appropriate SMART targets.
3. Conduct regular Learner tutorials to record, track, monitor and report on progress and complete evaluations to be submitted to the Quality Assurance Lead.
4. To produce effectively sequenced annual Long- and Medium-Term planning with a focus on preparation for adulthood targets, functional skills and Skills Builder programmes.
5. To prepare appropriate learning and assessment materials, identifying gaps in learner knowledge utilising this to develop further individualised planning.
6. To deliver effective, high-quality lessons.
7. To deliver training to prescribed standards, meeting the requirements of commissioning bodies.
8. To individualise learning, differentiating and adapting delivery to meet the needs of all learners.
9. To accurately assess and record learners additional support requirements, building on care and support plans.
10. To comply with Safeguarding and Prevent policy and procedures at all times, ensuring the safety of all learners.
11. To provide a positive role model for all learners and act as a Personal Tutor providing pastoral care and support.
12. To manage the class Learner Support Assistant effectively to maximise learning, providing them with clear targets and supporting their effectiveness in quality delivery of support.
13. Support the delivery of our enrichment Creative Curriculum and Sports programme to enhance the learner experience of college life.
14. To demonstrate consistent confidentiality in all matters concerning learners.
15. To take responsibility for learners when taking part in off-site activities.
16. To take responsibility for maintaining Health & Safety on and off site, undertaking relevant risk assessment activity.
17. To participate in observation and monitoring systems in order to quality assure Teaching, Learning and Assessment.
18. To take part in mandatory training and further CPD opportunities as required.
19. To support the mission and vision of Willow Green and promote equality and diversity.
20. To be flexible and easily able to adapt to changes in duties, routine and circumstances.
21. To accept the daily fluctuations within the organisation and support requirements of learners.
