We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Developer to join our IT Technical Services Team team here at Housing 21.
Within the role you will Working as the Senior Developer you will be expected to lead on the development of internal applications/tools & web platforms to serve growing business needs for the Development team.
As well as actively delivering project requirements the role will entail translating technical strategy from the Development Manager and senior stakeholders into tangible high quality, scalable software solutions for business areas within Housing 21.
Within the role, you will be expected to play a key role in mentoring and guiding members of the Development team towards maturing their skills and practices by introducing them to new and innovative tools and methodologies.
To focus on provision of Business Intelligence and management Information using MS SQL server technologies including SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. A key focus of the role will be building robust and scalable solutions that connect different systems and services, enabling data-driven insights and business applications within the Azure ecosystem. As such you will be expected to show proficiency in Azure services like Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and other relevant cloud technologies.
The post holder will be involved in creating and maintaining technical documentation, as well as communicating with stakeholders and other teams.
The post holder will also be expected to provide resolution on BAU issues within the H21 technical environments when escalated beyond the Service Desk. Responsible for defining development principles and best practice and the focal point for driving best practice within development principles.
The job holder will make sure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety, Diversity & Inclusion and GDPR Protection at all times. This profile is not exhaustive and other activities at a similar level may need to be carried out
While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required.
This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be required to attend our head office in Birmingham 2 days a week.

Substantial experience in a software development role.
Extensive experience writing complex API driven web applications in a .NET based technology stack
Experience in utilising Azure Synapse Analytics
