Summary
Kingston and Sutton Digital team are looking for a senior analyst who will sit within the Web Team, taking a lead on the implementation and spearheading the wider use of digital data across the councils.
This individual will be responsible for helping use data to understand the journey of the customer and the role that digital plays in the user experience. They will be adept and understanding user journeys and should have experience in communicating insights from data to promote actionable changes to product and service teams.
The main scope of this role is to manage the technical aspects of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and other web tracking based technologies. This role will also be required to work with various teams to understand this data and use it to generate actionable insights within the council.
Your Approach
You’ll use experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager to lead by defining strategy, planning, building, quality testing and deploying digital analytics implementations across both Kingston and Sutton councils websites.
You’ll lead on and proactively ensure that all data collection is compliant with the principles set out by the data protection teams and with GDPR.
You’ll instruct teams to establish KPIs, measure impact, and report on performance.
You'll show a passion for getting things done and being persistent in pushing through the best practices in data for a wide range of teams.
You’ll push service areas to present outputs of analysis and insight that will empower these areas to solve problems.
You’ll demonstrate a proactive mindset to identify opportunities for different service areas using the council’s data.
You’ll be an effective visual and oral communication by using data to sell a compelling story to stakeholders (e.g. presentations, building dashboards), as well as being a good listener able to interpret needs of service areas.

Teaching and mentoring other members of staff around Google Analytics and web analytics.
Someone who can demonstrate agility and adaptability in mindset and ways of working.
Previous experience in a government or charity sector.
An ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships.
High attention to detail.
Someone who can work with and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

About Us
Our web team currently consists of a Product Manager, Content Designers, UX Designer, User Researcher, Service Designer and three Web Administrators. We manage all areas of the Kingston and Sutton council websites.
We have made great strides in implementing GA4 and establishing an Analytics function in the Digital team, and we are now looking for a permanent member of staff to join our friendly team and to grow and manage this function.
