Please note this is a part-time positionWorking hours: 5.50 hours per week with the opportunity to complete additional shiftsInterview Date: To be confirmedAdditional Salary information: 10% night works allowance awarded when working nightsCentenary House is the largest residential Life House in Belfast accommodating vulnerable homeless men over 18 years of age.We have a great opportunity for a Support Worker (night position) to be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. Additionally, to address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. To work as part of a team to achieve contractual and quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular client support plan reviews, completing and updating individual support plans; within contractual timeframes and work with clients to achieve their identified goals in accordance with The Salvation Army policy.Work with colleagues to design and deliver a range of in-house support provisions designed to achieve successful outcomes.Complete and review client’s assessments including risk assessments, within contractual timeframes, using a person-centred and trauma sensitive approach.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clientsAbility to work in a busy environment and can demonstrate ability to make decisions under pressureKnowledge of the benefits system and an understanding of supported housing funding streamsAbility to use your initiative in problem solving for the benefit of clients and colleaguesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsNISCC registration is also required for the postIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK, Access NI and Health Assessment.For details of how to prove your right to work in the UK please click here and please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship.
