Contract Type: Maternity Cover (Approx. 9 months)
Hours: 19.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 10:00am – 4:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday

The Role
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis to cover maternity leave. In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and Deliver Activities: Design and lead a variety of group and one-to-one activities including arts & crafts, music, games, gardening, and gentle exercise.
Personalised Engagement: Develop activity plans tailored to individual residents’ interests, abilities, and care needs.
Event Coordination: Organise special events, seasonal celebrations, and entertainment, ensuring every day is enjoyable and stimulating.
Community Involvement: Arrange outings and liaise with local groups and entertainers to bring the community into the home.
Support Wellbeing: Provide sensory and cognitive stimulation, particularly for residents living with dementia.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to support care planning and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
A warm, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for improving the lives of older people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Creative thinking and strong organisational skills to plan and adapt activities to suit a range of needs.
Previous experience in a care home or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
Flexibility to occasionally support events or outings outside of regular hours.
