We are a Country Club that offers accommodation, fitness & leisure, golf, dining, hair & beauty, weddings, conference and events.
This is an interesting and varied role, joining an office-based team here at the club. We’re looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to support the smooth running of our finance operations, with a strong focus on accuracy, organisation, and a proactive approach to tasks.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of cashiering, including daily banking processes
• Manage the shared finance inbox: logging invoices to relevant managers, responding to queries promptly
• Confidently access and utilise multiple IT systems to extract data, analyse figures, and support process efficiencies
• Maintain the purchase ledger: post invoices/credit notes and reconcile monthly supplier statements
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements and process entries in Sage
• Use and create Excel spreadsheets, maintaining and updating formulas as needed
• Process supplier payment runs and initiate bank payments
• Assist with updating the cash book from bank statements
• Support with other monthly finance tasks as directed by the Finance Supervisor or Manager
The ideal candidate will:
• Have strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrate previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role
• Show high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Bring a proactive mindset, taking ownership of tasks and seeking improvements
• Be confident navigating and using multiple IT systems and financial tools
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Be highly organised, with the ability to manage time and meet deadlines
The hours for this role are 31 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 9.00am to 4.30pm plus, an additional 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. The hours are inclusive of paid lunch breaks.
We offer you:
• Free use of facilities
• Free onsite parking
• Employee assistance programme
• Access to a discount platform
• Discounts throughout the club
• Free warm up driving range balls
• Learning and development opportunities
• Annual vouchers to enjoy the facilities
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
