Location Chapmanslade (Nr Westbury)
Hours 10 hours per week
Payrate £13 per hour
Holiday 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Driving Licence Yes with access to own vehicle and business insurance in place
DBS Check Yes, will be funded by the employer
A bit about me:
I am an 18 year old female who lives with her family, 2 dogs and a cat. I love socialising and music. Because I have Down Syndrome I need support in the community and in the home. I want to learn to be more independent and to keep myself safe. I love a cup of tea. I have no concept of time keeping.
About the role:
You will need your own transport. Although I can walk, I rely heavily on a wheelchair. You would need to be able to collapse the wheelchair and place it in/out of the vehicle. Sometimes I will need support in the home to make a meal or help me with household chores. Some personal care maybe occasionally be required. It is therefore requested that the applicant be female due to the role involving intimate, personal care. For this reason, it is exempt under the general occupational requirement section of the Equality Act 2010.
