North Somerset Council’s Family Wellbeing Service is looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Years professional to join our dynamic Children’s Centre Team. This is your chance to be part of a service that truly makes an impact.

We want someone who:
Lives and breathes early years – you’re enthusiastic, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential.
Will be an advocate and understands that each child’s journey is unique, reflecting different religious beliefs, faiths, values and culture, who will embrace and share.
Creates magic every day – whether it’s building a warm and welcoming learning environment or turning outdoor play into an adventure, you bring energy and inspiration to everything you do.
Is a team player – you’re happy to collaborate, share ideas, and help shape high-quality learning experiences for children and their families and is prepared to listen, learn, hear the child’s and family’s voice to ensure it reflects the shapes the activities delivered.

If you’ve worked in fast-paced childcare settings, thrive on building meaningful relationships with children and parents, and want to bring creativity and care to your work—we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role
As part of our Family Wellbeing Service, you’ll help us deliver North Somerset Council’s Early Help offer for children and young people aged 0–19 (or up to 25 for those with SEND). We’re proud to champion the Family Hub model—a welcoming “one-stop shop” where families can access vital support and community connection.

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll:

Champion the voice of the child in all planning, delivery, and evaluation. We want our activities to reflect our children’s uniqueness and celebrate individuality.
Partner with parents and carers to ensure a warm, inclusive experience for every family, reduce barriers to support access and work relationally with our parents and carers to ensure they know their voices are heard.
Collaborate across services, working with other professionals and agencies to meet the diverse needs of our community
Support safe and engaging environments, indoors and out, aligned with Early Years and Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and safeguarding practices, having professional curiosity to open discussions around mental health and wellbeing. This is everyone’s responsibility.
Capture learning and development, using observations and meeting children to where they are within their play and build next steps in a child-led way.
Support our virtual offer, providing accessible activities & signposting through social media.

Some experience working with children and young people across the 0–19 age range, or with multi-agency teams, would be a bonus.
