Gloucestershire Facilities Management (GFM) is recruiting for a Head of Estates to join the Estates team at Gloucestershire College.
The Head of Estates will have overall responsibility for the estates function, estates projects and have direct line management of a team of 4 managers responsible for project support and daily site functions. The 4 managers line manage various team members who undertake maintenance, mandatory checks, security, caretaking, reception and cleaning. The college also uses a computerised service desk system which estates and a number of other departments across the college use to log and manage work, contracts, assets and scheduled activities. The college has a Service Desk Team consisting of 4 staff who are line managed by one of the Estates Managers.
We support by ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all users of the College, providing an efficient and effective service for all students, staff, tenants and visitors at the College in accordance with normal operational and emergency procedures.
We operate three different opening and closing patterns for operational reasons (these will differ with term time and holiday time), all shift patterns fall within the hours 06:00 and 22:00.
