Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, mostly based at Employment Support Service, Employment Unit, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will be educated to HND/SVQ4 or equivalent in a relevant subject area, or you will have equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

You will provide a range of services and support to assist people with disabilities who are seeking employment through the Employment Support Service Team and to ensure that clients maintain employment and maximise their progression potential. You will contribute towards Employment Support Service project development. You will provide training where appropriate to people with disabilities and to be involved in retention and redeployment cases.

The Individual

You will be able to demonstrate provision of a professional service to a client group, experience of self-directed working and have management or supervisory experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel, Word and Office 365, the ability to provide a support service to a client group, organisational skills/time management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and experience of working effectively in a team are essential.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
