Pay rate: £46.87 per hour PAYE
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote working - they are flexible depending on service delivery. If the worker is needed in the office for meetings we would expect them to be there.
The role:
On behalf of a local council Property team, we are looking for an experienced lawyer to undertake a high profile, high quality and complex commercial property caseload with minimal supervision. We need a lawyer capable of dealing with the full range of commercial property work including leases, disposals, acquisitions, overage, and development agreements.
This role will involve advising on complex, high-profile and politically sensitive matters to clients, and assisting with some supervisory support to non-qualified staff (legal assistants, legal officers and senior legal officers) within the team.
Experience of working in the public sector is not necessary but would be advantageous.
What the client is looking for:
Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with substantial post-qualification experience in commercial property law.
Demonstrated ability to manage a full commercial property caseload independently.
Experience in dealing with complex development and regeneration projects.
Excellent communication and advisory skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to handle sensitive and high-profile matters with discretion and professionalism.
Previous experience working within a local authority or wider public sector setting - desirable
Familiarity with the public sector decision-making environment and governance procedures - desirable
