The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Days of Work:
Wednesday - Friday
To start 11th August 2025.

Campie Primary School nestles within the East Lothian town of Musselburgh to the west of the river Esk.

The main building which opened in 1919, contains fourteen classrooms and a gym hall. An open-plan area, currently our nursery, a dining-room and a school kitchen opened in 1973. Further building added a library, a computer suite, a lift, a third staircase and six new classrooms.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated PE Specialist to join our team, providing support for a range of children across our school.

Job Details

To teach a designated subject (Music/Physical Education/Art or Modern Languages) in line with Curriculum for Excellence.

Teach assigned classes in line with Curriculum for Excellence.
Prepare lessons and courses.
Undertake development of the curriculum.
Contribute to the assessment and reporting on the work of pupils.
Contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
Consult with and assist colleagues on subject specific education issues.
Participate in the organisation of the school to contribute to the school development
Plan and school policies as considered appropriate by the Head Teacher.
Maintain good order and discipline among pupils and to safeguard their health and safety.
Advise and guide pupils on issues related to their education.
Work co-operatively as part of a team.
