What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent teacher to be part of the school’s specialist provision which opened in September 2024. Our specialist provision is for EYFS and KS1 pupils who have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) with wide-ranging complex needs. You will work closely with the staff team at Langer Hub under the direction of the Lead Teacher, providing the education and support pupils with significant special needs require to flourish.

From September, the specialist hub at Langer Primary Academy will support eighteen pupils aged 4-7, with complex SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) needs to access appropriate provision that is inclusive within the communities they live. We are committed to a joined-up approach to support the children in our academies and beyond, providing high quality tailored specialist provision and supporting their families. Our schools work in close partnership and share the same inclusive philosophy, where every child is a valued member of the school community. We believe that every child has the right to achieve their full potential and every family can expect to be supported to enable the home and school partnership to flourish. We are aspirational and have high expectations for children with SEND and believe in providing a bespoke curriculum to meet children’s needs.

What the school offers its staff

Unity Schools Partnership is a forward-thinking Academy trust. This role is perfect for a teacher with a keen interest in making a difference to the lives of children with SEND. If you are ambitious and keen to work in a family of schools committed to these values, please consider applying for the post.
