Full time hours on a temporary basis
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Planning Solicitor to join our dynamic Development Team. This role involves delivering high-quality legal services across development, planning, highways, and local government law, supporting strategic objectives and contributing to external income generation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex caseload of both contentious and non-contentious legal matters.
- Draft and negotiate legal documents, including planning and highways agreements.
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders, committees, and external partners.
- Represent the organisation at inquiries, tribunals, and court proceedings.
- Support and mentor junior staff and contribute to training and development.
- Stay up to date with legislative changes and case law developments.
- Contribute to income generation through external legal work.
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in planning and development law.
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and advisory skills.
- Ability to manage complex legal matters independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Flexible, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.
