Community Safety Officer needed in North London paying £18.73ph Ref 012990
Role Purpose:
- Address anti-social behaviour problems in Harrow and coordinate action to ensure responses are informed, appropriate, and draw on effective practices.
- Educate and work in partnership with relevant organisations to enhance public safety and well-being.
Job Context:
- Prevent infringements and take appropriate legislative actions to maintain and enhance public well-being.
- Act in accordance with financial regulations.
- Deliver universal services to all sections of the community, including street cleaning, waste & recycling, parks, highways infrastructure, civil engineering, community safety, climate change, and property, along with planning and economic development.
- Improve the everyday quality of life for residents and focus on long-term spatial and economic futures for the borough, its businesses, and residents.
- Lead community engagement initiatives and support voluntary groups in maintaining countryside and open space areas.
- Care for the borough's facilities, natural resources, and public realm, creating conditions for growth and development.
Generic Duties:
- Demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities and implement related policies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety responsibilities and promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Participate in individual performance appraisal and development initiatives and information management best practices.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies and maintain confidentiality.
- Converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English, as required by the Immigration Act 2016.
