Crynodeb
We are looking to fill several roles within our current farming enterprise, mainly within our outdoor herb production and perennial semi-protected poly tunnels.
Langmead Herbs is a family-owned business operating in and around West Sussex, growing and packing fresh herbs for a large number of UK retailers and food services.
The farm benefits from an extensive land base of circa 1000ha, the majority of which is all irrigable through reservoirs and recycled water.
With the use of a modern grain drying and 15000t storage facility, the farm grows Grade 1 Milling Wheat, alongside Herbs and SFI cover crops. The Herbs we grow include Coriander, Flat and Curly Parsley, Dill as well as Mint and Tarragon which are both grown as semi protected crops under Poly Tunnels.
Where possible we are aiming to adopt and encourage regenerative agriculture and sustainable farming techniques, to enhance our soils, land and water whilst also supporting the local ecosystems and biodiversity.
We operate a modern and efficient fleet of machinery and equipment, utilising and embracing GPS, variable rate applications and reduced tillage.
In order to continue to grow our business, we are looking for Seasonal Operators to join our current team across both our Herbs and Arable enterprises from 2025 between March/April – October/November
What`s involved:
· Machine harvest
· Hand harvest
· Tractor operations
· Irrigation
· Fleecing
· Delivering of products to the packhouse
· Weeding
· Estate maintenance
