Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Architectural Technologist to join a friendly close-knit team where you will work on a variety of interesting projects with senior members which will allow you to develop your knowledge as well as a long-term scope to progress your career.
In this role you will focus primarily on drawing and assisting the team to meet deadlines and develop client relations.
Supporting role under Senior Technologists and Project Leads to include:
Creating and revising construction drawings: Using REVIT software to create detailed plans, elevations, and sections of buildings
Preparing specifications for building work: Defining the materials, methods, and standards to be used in construction
Assisting with detailed design: Contributing to the development of architectural designs, including selecting materials and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
Assisting with site visits: Undertaking measured surveys. Checking the progress of construction, verifying that designs are being followed, and identifying potential issues
Liaising with other professionals:
Working with engineers, surveyors, and other specialists to ensure that the project is progressing smoothly.
Researching new technologies and materials:
Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in construction and design.
Training
You will attend Exeter College one day per week during term time to work towards your Level 4 Construction Design and Build Technician Apprenticeship.
Qualifications required
Level 3 or equivalent BTEC in Construction in the Built Environment.
Skills required
Working knowledge of Revit and the current building regulations is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
Prospects
Receive ongoing support from the highly skilled to become a qualified architectural technologist with CIAT accreditation.
Qualification / Standard : ST0043 Construction design and build technician
Duration 24 months
