This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker to join our Home Treatment service based at in the Home Treatment Team on the Tickhill Road Hospital Site in Doncaster.
The role involves working within a busy and supportive multidisciplinary team who provide rapid assessment and intensive support to service users presenting in acute mental health crisis. We recognise that treatment and recovery in most instances is best provided in a patient’s own home and as a service we aim to support this as an alternative to hospital admission.
If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.

There is a requirement to work a shift pattern that provides a service 7 days a week 365 days of the year.
Undertake agreed activities as delegated with patients / service users under the direct / indirect supervision of the qualified staff
Contributes to the assessment, implementation and delivery of individualised evidence-based care.
To maintain accurate records electronically through System 1 and report any changes that are identified and report all actions to nurse in charge/named nurse/care co-ordinator.
The post holder is required to take personal responsibility to incorporate the 6 C vision of care into their care delivery.
Contribute to clinical discussions and provide feedback of current patient’s status and presentation to appropriate members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to inform treatment planning.
Develop a rapport with patients and carers/family members and encourage them to participate in the rehabilitation/ healthcare programmes and activities available.
Work in partnership with patients/carers and the MDT to promote health and independence.
Assist the relevant professionals during assessment / treatment / intervention where required.
Support the patient to make use of available services and facilities.
Assist and promote independence with activities of daily living.
