Key Responsibilities:
Interpret construction drawings and work orders to determine project specifications.
Measure and mark building areas to ensure accurate alignment and levels for walls, partitions, and other structures.
Mix and apply mortar or bonding materials using hand tools or mixing equipment.
Lay bricks, blocks, or stones in line with set designs, ensuring correct spacing, angles, and structural integrity.
Shape and cut bricks or blocks using power or hand tools to fit around openings or architectural features.
Repair and replace damaged brickwork, matching materials and finishes with the original design.
Work collaboratively with site supervisors, architects, and team members to meet project goals.
Secure brickwork using clamps, cements, and reinforcements where required.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment in compliance with HSE standards.
Entry Requirements:
Experience in bricklaying or general construction work is essential.
A relevant vocational qualification such as NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Bricklaying or equivalent is preferred.
Alternatively, completion of an approved apprenticeship or substantial on-the-job training will be considered.
Sound knowledge of UK building codes, health & safety regulations, and construction best practices.
Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings and site layouts.
English Language Requirement:
Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency to at least B1 level on the CEFR scale, as required for Skilled Worker visa eligibility.
