Job Title: Manufacturing ManagerLocation: Stourport on SevernType: PermanentIndustry: OperationsSalary: £80,000 to £100,000 per annum plus excellent company benefitsWorkchain is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager for our clients nationally recognised manufacturing operation, based in Stourport on Severn.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer as a member of the Senior Management Team this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organisational effectiveness.Providing leadership for the site’s Process Manufacturing, Planning, Toolroom, Development, Despatch, Transportation and Quality functions along with ensuring the successful introduction of new sales throughout the business.Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of Company strategies, policies and practices.This role is a permanent position.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, key responsibilities:Ensuring the successful introduction of new sales into the business, along with facilitating regular new business reviewsImprove or implement operational systems, processes and policies in support of companies targets including SOP, ISO9001, Health margin-top: 3.6pt; margin-bottom: 3.6pt; line-height: normal; background: white;">Provide advice, support and direction for all line managers responsible for production related activityRecruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staffDevelop and maintain good working relationships with internal group teams and departmental heads and external suppliersSupporting the development of trainingInventory control in line with budgetsCompliance to Health and Safety policy and practice ensuring excellent standards are maintained throughout productionDevelop productivity plans to include scrap, downtime, labour efficiency and lean manufacturingSupport the preparation and management of site operational budgetsProvide regular management reporting to groupQualifications, requirements and experience:HNC qualification or above with significant experience of operations in a process manufacturing environmentExperience of the plastic process industry would be an advantageousRelevant professional qualifications would be an advantageLean manufacturing experience and H background: white;">Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.00pm.The starting salary is from £80kpa to £100kpa depending on experience, with excellent company benefits including company vehicle, company mobile, laptop and bonus.Please apply online and complete the application form to be considered for this position.
