We are currently looking for a Senior Practitioner to work in our Community Addiction Recovery Services (CAReS) within South Lanarkshire Council.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day allocation work within the services and offer Senior Practitioner oversight to Substance Use Workers and Social Workers as and when required across the locality teams whilst managing a small specific caseload of individuals accessing the service. Amongst other duties, the successful candidate will also attend professional working meetings, liaising with colleagues to disseminate information back to team members involved with cases discussed in these multi-disciplinary forums.

You must be able to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously while managing your workload. You will possess excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage diverse and complex areas of work, liaising with multi-disciplinary professionals to obtain quality outcomes within decision making.

You will be responsible to the Community Addiction Recovery Operations Managers and must have the ability to manage delegated tasks timeously, being accountable for providing outcome information to both Social Work and NHS Managers involved in the Integrated Service as required.

In return, the service offers a great environment in which to work with clear career progression and varied training opportunities, an emphasis on promoting team members' health and well-being, and opportunities for flexible working. We have a visible and accessible management team who pride themselves on offering regular quality supervision through reflective, open, and strengths-based support. We are passionate about social work and take pride in our profession and position within an integrated Health and Social Work team.

We promote a culture that puts people at the heart of everything we do. Practitioners are encouraged to enhance their skills, innovate to find solutions, and continually develop as professionals.
