partner to King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to support our Outpatient
Pharmacy team. Be part of a service that directly contributes to improving patient care within the NHS.
Your Role:
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will work under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist to support the safe and efficient
preparation, supply, and management of medicines. You'll provide advice to patients on medication use and general health,
contributing to a high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Dispensing & Supply: Accurately dispense clinically checked prescriptions and ensure timely, safe supply of medications.
* Patient Support: Provide advice on medicines and general health within your capability, promoting patient safety and
well-being.
* Stock Management: Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing medications, ensuring accurate record-keeping and stock control.
* Controlled Drugs: Support the safe handling, auditing, and management of controlled drugs in line with SOPs.
* Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacy colleagues, clinicians, and patients to ensure an efficient and seamless service.
* Process Improvement: Contribute to maintaining and improving dispensary processes and support the training of new team members.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
* Experience: Previous experience in a community pharmacy or similar setting.
* Knowledge: Understanding of community pharmacy dispensing legislation, drug tariffs, and common reference sources.
* Skills: Accurate, methodical, and able to work with focus and efficiency. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Attributes: Diligent, personable, and resilient under pressure — with a genuine passion for supporting patients.

Shift Pattern: Based at King’s College Hospital London. Our opening times are Monday - Friday 8am - 9pm, Weekends and Bank
Holidays 9am - 5pm. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week to meet the needs of the Business on a Rota basis.
