A Personal Support Assistant is required to support an autistic young man for a maximum of 16 hours per week with his hobbies and interests.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a young man to get out and about socially.
The energetic young man loves being outdoors, gaming, going to the cinema, going to a local weekly disco / youth group /swimming and attends Just the Job with 1:1 support from a Personal Assistant.
He has a great sense of humour and is very active. He is Autistic, his speech can be limited but he can make himself understood.
He will need support from someone who can be patient but firm – he can be quite determined.
They will also need to be physically active and able to support him to be aware of risks when out and about.
Successful applicant will be employed by the young man's mum
Experience with Autism is essential, also access to a car and a clean driving licence is essential as there are limited activities in the village – mileage will be paid @ 0.45p per hour during working hours.
Hours may vary but will be approx. 16 hrs per week.
£15.65 per hour with equivalent 5.6 weeks paid annual leave per year (pro-rata)
