The Dangerous Goods instructor role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small team, delivering dynamic dangerous goods training to military personnel.

This role sits within Defence Petroleum and Specialist Training Squadron (DPSTS) of DSLA, providing dangerous goods training for the receipt, storage and distribution of dangerous goods by Surface and Air means.

DPSTS is seeking a Dangerous Goods Instructor to sit within the Dangerous Goods delivery team offering specific Dangerous Goods training to service personnel operating within an Air environment.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver Dangerous Goods (DG) training to students.
Collaborate with 3 other team members to deliver an exciting training programme to a Tri-Service audience.
Co-ordinate and maintain the provision of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Part 1 qualified instructors.
Set and maintain the discipline standards.
Direct the standards of course preparation and management of classrooms, lessons, training aids and all other material necessary for the delivery of courses.
Control the preparation, setting and marking of progress tests and final examinations, through the Examinations Manager.
Carry out periodic assurance checks on all delivery documentation to ensure compliance and relevance, working closely with other departments where appropriate.
Develop course content based on student feedback.
Generate a robust annual training programme.
Support other courses where required
