Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Rochdale
Contract Duration: Until August 2025 (subject to review based on workload)

Shift Pattern (Rotating Shifts):
Week 1:

Monday to Thursday: 06:00 – 14:00

Friday: 06:00 – 12:00

Week 2:

Monday to Wednesday: 14:00 – 22:00

Thursday: 14:00 – 21:00

Friday: 12:00 – 18:00

Pay Rate:
£15.96 per hour (standard)

£23.94 per hour after 37.5 hours

£31.92 per hour after 41.5 hours

Purpose of the Role:

To undertake a variety of production, warehousing, and dispatch duties in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate production equipment, machinery, and instruments safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, upholding high housekeeping standards.
Accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process order instructions.
Ensure accurate data recording
Documenting batches used on process orders
Receipting process orders in SAP
Filing associated paperwork
Conduct specific product/sample testing in line with defined standards, including quality assessments during production.
Handle raw materials and finished goods:
Receive, store, and dispatch products
Ensure effective material flow across the site
Unload deliveries, move materials, and report shortages
Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Involvement in continuous improvement activities is essential
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
Competency with documentation and systems (e.g., SAP)
Ability to work to strict procedures and quality standards
Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is desirable
Additional Information:

This is a fixed-term role until August 2025, with potential for extension depending on business needs and performance.
