Gardener needed in East London paying £16.53 per hr ref 451560
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our Green Space Management Team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing a diverse portfolio of green spaces across East London.
The team oversees the care of approximately 170 sites, including parks, gardens, churchyards, plazas, and highway planting areas, as well as the management of over 1,400 trees in the iconic Square Mile.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out horticultural maintenance across a wide range of public green spaces.
- Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, and seasonal displays.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely.
- Support biodiversity and sustainability initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure high standards of presentation and safety.
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture.
- Good knowledge of plants, trees, and seasonal gardening tasks.
- Ability to use a range of gardening tools and machinery.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
