About the role: Head of Employee ExperienceThis is a pivotal role within Activate Learning’s Group Human Resources (HR) team, leading on the design and delivery of an exceptional employee experience that supports our strategic ambitions.You will be responsible for three critical areas of our People function: HR Business Partnering, Diversity & Inclusion, and Employee Wellbeing. As part of the HR Leadership Team, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the People function to drive impactful cultural, engagement and performance outcomes across the employee lifecycle.As the Head of Employee Experience, you’ll lead a talented team including our HR Business Partners, D&I Manager, and Wellbeing Lead, supporting managers and senior leaders across our multi-site organisation. You’ll offer strategic and expert advice on employee relations, organisational change, manager development, and employee engagement-ensuring every colleague experiences a workplace that is inclusive, healthy, and values-led.This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week.We operate a hybrid working model with a minimum of three days on-site. Your base can be one of our campuses in Oxford, Reading, Bracknell or Guildford, with travel required across our Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Surrey sites.What do you need to be a successful Head of Employee Experience?The Head of Employee Experience will be an experienced senior HR leader with extensive expertise in employee relations, cultural transformation, and team leadership, ideally within complex or public sector environments. You will demonstrate deep proficiency in HR strategy and policy, guiding teams through change with clarity, empathy, and purpose.You will adeptly balance strategic influence and operational delivery, partnering closely with senior leadership and trade unions to cultivate an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing workplace.
