Summary

Regional Manager – Kent Area (Healthcare Catering – Compliance & Auditing Focus)

? Location: Kent, with regional travel
? Hours: 40 per week
? Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE) + Company Car / Car Allowance

Are you a dynamic and commercially minded catering professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Regional Manager to join our team in Kent, supporting catering services across a group of care homes. This is a compliance and auditing-led role with a strong focus on food quality, safety, cost control, and operational excellence.

This is your opportunity to lead and influence food service delivery in a rewarding sector that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

The Role:

As a Regional Manager, you’ll oversee the catering performance of multiple care home sites, working in partnership with client stakeholders to improve standards across the board. You’ll be the bridge between site teams and senior clients—guiding, auditing, and advising in key focus areas such as:

  • Food Safety & HSE compliance

  • Food production, quality, and presentation

  • Cost control and budget adherence

  • Data analysis and performance reporting

This is not a traditional operations role—you’ll be a trusted consultant and compliance leader, driving improvements across non-Compass managed teams while ensuring our service offer delivers measurable results.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

IT Proficiency: Comfortable working with multiple digital platforms to gather, analyse, and present performance data
Influential Communicator: Able to support and guide teams that don’t report directly into Compass, with strong influencing skills
Client-Facing Confidence: Capable of interpreting site data and presenting insights and solutions to senior stakeholders
Craft/Back-of-House Experience: A culinary background is highly desirable to help drive food standards and mentor Chef Managers
Sector Experience: Previous exposure to contract catering and healthcare/senior living environments preferred

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards

  • Support and advise Chef Managers and site teams to improve quality and efficiency

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships built on trust and results

  • Manage regional data reporting and deliver insights that drive improvement

  • Provide coaching and development for site teams

  • Work collaboratively with wider Compass support teams to implement best practices

What’s in It for You?

We reward hard work and commitment with a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • ? Company Car or Car Allowance

  • ? Contributory Pension Scheme

  • ? Career development via MyLearning & Career Pathways

  • ? Digital GP access and wider healthcare support for your family

  • ? Up to 44% off cinema tickets

  • ✈️ Discounts with TUI, Expedia, Booking.com & more

  • ? Supermarket savings at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons & more

  • ? Wellness and mindfulness classes – free to all employees

  • ? Cashback rewards with major retail brands
