No two days are the same, so you’ll need to be versatile and dynamic as you’ll be leading the Inclusion, Project and Partnership sessions. You’ll also support the recruitment and growth of the delivery team while also playing a key role in ensuring these sessions run smoothly and contribute to the wider Youth Work offer as needed.

As part of our delivery team, you’ll work with other Youth Work Team Leaders to deliver top-quality sessions and lead our weekly Inclusion, Partnership and project sessions, where external providers bring fresh, exciting activities for our members.

Your mission? To create an exciting, high-quality programme that’s fun, engaging, and truly makes a difference – all while keeping young people at the centre of everything we do. If you’re passionate about giving young people the best experiences and opportunities, this is the role for you!

Key responsibilities include:

Recruit, train, manage, develop, coordinate and maintain sessional youth work staff
Support and coordinate an inclusive, engaging, and up-to-date youth work offer
You will design, create and oversee a dynamic programme of activities across either Arts, Sports or Holiday Club, ensuring young people enjoy a diverse, high-quality range of activities that inspire growth and development
Ensure young people’s ideas are integral to planning all activities and that their voices are championed and advocated for within the Youth Zone
Ensure the Youth Zone is a safe, welcoming place for young people, maintaining high standards of behaviour.
You will have experience of:

Proven experience in creating, developing and leading SEND youth programmes creating a safe environment to deliver engaging programmes for diverse youth demographics (ages 8-19, up to 25 with additional needs/disabilities)
Experienced in safeguarding, ideally as a designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people with unwavering commitment and proficiency in related referral processes
Having a young person focused approach, being passionate about the power and impact of youth work and using it as a vehicle to empower young people to become the very best versions of themselves
