We currently have a vacancy for PWP trainee to work in the Steps 2 Wellbeing Team in the Rural localities of Purbeck & East Dorset and North Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity for people with the appropriate skills to join a highly motivated and committed team.

Steps to Wellbeing is a busy, dynamic and progressive service with a friendly and supportive team of qualified clinicians and staff in training.

The role itself is both demanding and rewarding; providing psychological interventions to people with mild to moderate common mental health problems in primary care. We are looking for people with enthusiasm and passion to join our service. Good administrative, time management and communication skills are also essential. Experience of working within mental health, the NHS service or similar organisation is highly desirable.

Applications from candidates that require current healthcare/skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.

You would undertake academic training, provided and accredited byUniversity of Exeter. Time would be split between University study and on-job training. The on-job training would include learning about CBT-based self-management for clients suffering from mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, using a stepped-care approach. All trainees will receive intensive supervision and support in their workplace as an integral element of their training. The post is a full time position, part time applications cannot be considered due to University commitments.

We are expecting a high volume of applications for this post; please be aware that we may close this advert earlier than stated if this is the case. It will not be possible to provide individual feedback prior to the interview dates due to the expected high volume of applications.

We will be interviewing at the beginning of July 2025, dates TBC
