We have an exciting opportunity for an hourly paid Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the next generation of Health Care professionals while playing a key role in a thriving academic community.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lecturer in Health & Social Care, you will:
Deliver and oversee high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment.
Plan programmes of study that cater to the unique needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
Foster students' academic and personal development, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Design and implement lesson plans that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.
Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the learning experience and meet the diverse needs of students.
Contribute to student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression through personalised guidance and support.

What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
Hold a relevant minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).
Are qualified teachers or are willing to work towards**.
Hold a relevant Degree qualification or equivalent.
Have GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
Possess up-to-date knowledge and/or experience of teaching Health and Social Care.
Exhibit effective classroom management, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.

*The Lecturer Salary Scale is from Pt 5 – Pt 16. The salary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or QTS.  To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
