Job Purpose:I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me with various day-to-day tasks. Due to my mobility challenges I struggle with completing household tasks such as making my bed, doing laundry, gardening and meal preparation. I also need help with walking my child to school safely. On occasion I will need support with hospital appointments.
I have a diagnosis of ADHD and learning difficulties, which means I will need some support around taking my medication, reading mail and completing paperwork. I also suffer with lack of confidence to socialise so would like some support around this which would help me to create new relationships, so I do not feel isolated. We could be going out into the community and for a coffee for example.
Location: Downham Market, PE38

Person specificationEssential:Understanding of ADHD and learning difficulties.Friendly and patient.Flexible and professional.Empathetic and understanding.Likes animals, especially dogs and cats.
Desirable:Experience with supporting someone with ADHD and learning difficulties.
Summary terms and conditions:· The rate of pay for this position is £13 per hour.· Hours and times of work: 6-8 hours per week, arranged flexibly ahead of time.· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.· This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, Manual Handling of Objects and Medication Practice.
Post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
