What's involved with this role:

JOB TITLE: Compliance Surveyor - Heating Services - Building Services and Maintenance
REF: E Devon 5269283
Pay rate: £200.80 to £240.96 per day PAYE, dependent on experience
Job type: Contract, anticipated 6 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid role to a large extent but candidate should discuss with recruiting manager at time of interview, the candidate must be flexible.
Full driving licence and need access to their own vehicle

The role:

On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Compliance Surveyor (Heating Services) to liaise and oversee all areas of the housing service in achieving all health and safety legislation in relation to this.

Reporting directly to the Compliance & Cyclical Servicing Manager the successful Compliance Surveyor will play a key part in establishing compliance across the Councils housing stock (specifically for the items listed above).

Key Responsibilities may include:

Ensure all heating services within the Council’s housing stock comply with current health and safety legislation, statutory obligations, and industry best practices.
Oversee and manage heating servicing contracts and associated compliance workstreams.
Carry out audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance or concern.
Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance issues promptly and effectively.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training relating to heating compliance.



What the client is looking for:

Full driving licence and need access to their own vehicle
Demonstrable experience in compliance surveying or a similar role within housing or building services.
A strong understanding of health and safety legislation related to heating systems, including gas safety regulations.
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND in Building Services, Gas Safe certification, or equivalent).
Experience in contract and performance management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A commitment to high standards of service delivery and continuous improvement.
