Crynodeb

This is an exciting role within the Youth Revenue Programme, and will be supporting delivery of Government’s out-of-school youth offer. It is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on seeing direct results, enjoys working with internal and external stakeholders and is committed to providing exceptional grant management. The following is an indicative list of some of the responsibilities that might be included in this role:

  • Support ongoing grant management of a range of youth revenue programmes, which support the youth work sector, focusing on workforce development (qualifications/training, employment market) and increasing Local Authority capability in youth service leadership;
  • Support delivering new revenue programmes, including working with others on their design and early set-up, such as the development of new grant agreements, performance management systems and governance;
  • Stakeholder engagement, with the postholder required to work closely with our grant delivery partners to monitor delivery progress and identify positive comms and visit opportunities to promote the funds;
  • Drafting briefings, supporting visits, answers to parliamentary questions, correspondence and other parliamentary business.
Person specification

The ideal candidate would have the following key skills and experience:

Essential requirements:

  • Able to deliver at pace, with evidence of managing a number of workstreams to deliver positive outcomes in relation to grant/programme/project delivery.
  • Experience working together with internal and external stakeholders, including working collaboratively with delivery partners.
  • Ability to communicating and influencing to achieve positive outcomes and feedback.
  • Demonstrate interest in the youth sector.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience working with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) or similar bodies.
  • Experience working with local government.
  • Experience working in the youth sector.
