Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coordinator to join our Social Care Academy. The Academy is responsible for supporting and developing our newly qualified social workers, social work apprentices, and social care professionals with learning and development. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Coordinator seeking to step into a new role that’s all about coordination and innovation!
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the key responsibilities of the Social Care Academy via the Academy calendar, ensuring that it is maintained to reflect the support, assessment, observation, and portfolio requirements of the development programmes & ASYE programme for all Academy NQSWs and other academy learners.
Be the first point of contact for all Academy enquiries including prospective applicants, maintaining a front facing, can do, customer focus.
Ensure that Academy information and practice guidance is up to date and accurate and available as required internally, across the partnership and across the southwest region.
Schedule, arrange, and administer all reviews for all Academy learners, to ensure effective tracking of individual learners’ progress.
Monitor and support the Academy Manager with allocation and transfer of individual cases for children and families within and across the Academy and operational teams as required.
This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Work Style

However, please note that during the induction period, it may be necessary to spend more time in the office to support your learning and development. We are flexible and open to discussions about your preferred working style, and if you wish to be in the office more frequently, this can be negotiated.
This role falls into the category of Flexible Worker which means you can expect to work in the following way:
2-3 days in the office (pro-rata)
Works both from home and the office, depending on the task at hand.
Expected to be in the office for team touchpoints and planning in-office days for collaboration.
About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about coordination, planning, and adult learning and development, and who possesses the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience supporting a customer facing area of work.
ICT literate with direct experience of use of EXCEL, WORD, & other Microsoft Office packages.
Able to communicate effectively face to face, by telephone and in writing.
Able to maintain filing and other information systems.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of working with social care, health, police, and/or education
