Do you have a passion for supporting young people who have faced challenges in their education?

Are you ready to make a real difference in a dynamic and supportive environment?

Randstad Education is partnering with an alternative provision centre in Worthing, providing a range of educational opportunities for KS3 and KS4 students who have faced barriers to learning. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team on a long-term basis.

About the role:

  • You will be working with a diverse group of learners who have faced challenges in their education, providing individual and small group support to help them achieve their potential.
  • You will be a key part of a team that encourages students to achieve as many nationally recognized qualifications as possible, as well as participate in wider learning opportunities.
  • You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • You will be involved in a range of activities, including preparing learning materials, supporting students with their work, and providing individualised support.

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Experience working with young people who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education. You'll need to be able to demonstrate your understanding of the challenges these students face and your ability to build positive relationships.
  • A strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. You'll need to be able to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude. This role requires a strong commitment to supporting students, even when faced with challenging situations.

We offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative environment with a dedicated team of professionals. You'll be part of a team that is committed to providing the best possible support for our students.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training. We are committed to supporting our staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

We look forward to hearing from you!
