About the role:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic High Intensity CBT Therapist to join our expanding team. We are committed to helping to develop the people that come to work with us. We know our service can only be as good as the people who work here, and we will invest in you to maximise that potential.
You will receive weekly clinical supervision from an experienced therapist working within the service, as well as specialist monthly group supervision by an experienced clinician from the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (CADAT). In addition, there are monthly specialist EMDR supervision groups for any clinician fully trained in EMDR, and regular CPD opportunities within the Trust.
The post is a busy one, with targets for activity and recovery and a high caseload. The post requires working one evening a week as a shift day i.e. 12-8pm on a regular evening each week. 2 days in office.
In order to be shortlisted for this post, applicants must be BABCP accredited. Applicants who are due to complete their HI CBT training shortly are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities (Included but not limited to):
To deliver NICE recommended, formulation driven specialist psychological interventions for depression and anxiety disorders, adapting interventions for the specific needs and clinical setting, working with individual clients, groups and large workshops.
Assess and integrate issues surrounding social support, voluntary work and employment into therapy.
To provide psychological reports, including relevant formulation, opinion and interventions, in order to inform referrers and, where appropriate, service users.
To select and deliver evidence based psychological treatments, monitoring outcomes and modifying and adapting interventions, drawing on a range of theoretical models.
To work as an autonomous professional within BABCP/HCPC guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service, taking full responsibility for own work
including treatment and discharge decisions.
To keep clear, accurate and up to date records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.
To confidently assess and monitor risk and draw up appropriate risk management plans
Maintain a clinical caseload in line with activity targets agreed with line manager.

Lambeth Talking Therapies is a well-established and successful service with over 100 members of staff. We are a friendly, creative and sociable team consisting of Clinical Support Workers, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, High Intensity Therapists and admin staff.

Working with people to reduce the distress and practical problems caused by common mental health problems; by developing and supporting staff who are dedicated to providing high quality, continuously improving psychological services to all of Lambeth’s diverse population.
About the location:
At present, the large majority of sessions to clients are offered virtually and clinicians are working from home. We are happy to consider fully remote working roles. We anticipate all staff doing a combination of office/home working in the future.
The main service team bases are at in Brixton, Stockwell and Streatham. All our bases have great transport links and are close to coffee shops and food markets for enjoying your lunch break.

(through recordings or observation).
• To contribute to the development of the knowledge and skills base within Lambeth
IAPT by maintaining an active awareness of current developments in psychology,
CBT, IAPT and by implementing knowledge gained in practice.
TEAM MEMBER:
• To make a full contribution to the running of Lambeth Talking Therapies as a member
of a team and the whole service.
• To identify any aspects of the service which could be improved and contribute to the
service development through undertaking and participating in appropriate projects.
