Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Vale of Glamorgan to assist with the appointment of a Cook, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.31 - £18.68 per hour
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of nutritious hot and cold meals, desserts, cakes, and snacks.
Ensure meals are attractively presented and meet individual dietary needs (e.g., diabetic, vegetarian, culturally specific).
Plan cost-effective menus in consultation with the Resource Centre Manager.
Maximise the use of fresh foods and available resources.
Ensure adherence to Environmental Health, Health & Safety, Fire, and Food Safety regulations.
Requirements:
Experience in preparing and serving meals in a similar care or residential environment.
Knowledge of food hygiene standards and dietary requirements.
Ability to manage kitchen operations independently.
Strong communication and team management skills.
