We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Thurrock to assist with the appointment of a Care Worker to work in a residential care setting.
We have both regular shifts (26.25 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.
Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.75 per hour
Summary:
Thurrock Council is seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in residential, domiciliary, or supported living settings. The ideal candidate will support people to live with dignity, maintain independence, and engage in their local community. This role plays a vital part in delivering person-centred care that promotes wellbeing and improves quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Comply with Thurrock Councils policies on safeguarding, health and safety, equality, and confidentiality.
Administer or assist with medication in line with care plans and policies.
Participate in supervision, appraisals, and required training sessions.
Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
Encourage social interaction and participation in community activities.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
First Aid and Moving & Handling training.
Medication Administration training.
Essentials:
Previous experience working in a care role
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, dementia, or complex care needs.
Familiarity with person-centred care planning.
Please note:
You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
