We are currently seeking to recruit a number of Residential Seniors who have the drive, determination, experience and tenacity to come on this exciting journey with us. We have a number of homes we are planning to open within the next 12months and therefore this is an opportunity to work alongside and be a part of the leadership team to shape the future of Cheshire East’s residential provision.
Extensive support will be offered from the Registered Manager who will have experience of running Children’s Homes, alongside your peers as Seniors in the home and the Responsible Individual.
The role of a Senior will involve supporting the Registered Homes Manager and other Seniors to ensure we meet the Statement of Purpose, with particular emphasis on providing a person-centred therapeutic service, through delivering and improving all operational aspects of the home and developing a skilled and effective team.
This role will involve shift work alongside some administration days. The role requires you to lead shifts and ensure the team are all adhering to the Children’s Homes Regulations. You will be pivotal in supporting Ofsted Inspections and all audits within the home.

You will be familiar with working with young people in a residential setting who have suffered trauma, experience of working with exploitation would be extremely beneficial for this role.
You will have a proven experience of working in Children’s homes and have the ability to lead shifts and work with the Registered Manager to achieve outstanding outcomes for young people.
You will also have a strong focus on values, outcomes for children and excellence supported by the Local Authority who will also take a personal interest in your performance, development and your wellbeing. Your success will be the empowerment of the children, and the achievements of our services.
The skills and ability to work with complex and vulnerable young people whilst being able to lead the home on a daily basis will be paramount. As a Senior you will be able to work on shift and support the development of staff whilst being able to support the Home Manager ensure the Statement of Purpose is fulfilled and the home is operating within its means. 
A Senior is responsible for working with the Registered Manager in meeting the home’s Statement of Purpose, with particular emphasis on providing a person-centred therapeutic service, through delivering and improving all operational aspects of the home and developing a skilled and effective team. The Senior position requires shift work, supervision of staff, leadership oversight and a high level of experience working with vulnerable young people.

The Core Responsibilities will be:

Ensuring the Statement of Purpose is adhered to.
Work as part of the leadership team, to ensure the highest standards of care possible, ensuring that children’s wishes, views and feelings are supported.
To ensure that the council’s policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively.
Shift leadership.
To develop systems with the RM for the efficient administration of the home and to ensure that the fabric of the home, equipment, appliances, and grounds are maintained to the highest order in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
Promote professional development of staff, carry out staff supervisions and assist in the assessment of training needs.
Preparing reports and attend a range of professional meetings.
Overseeing the day-to-day running of the home including leading the team on shift, acting up in absence of the Registered Manager in collaboration with the other 2 seniors.
Ensuring staff rotas are covered and up to date and meet the needs of the home.
Responsibility for daily budgeting and working within budgetary guidelines.
Deliver excellence, ensuring the home meets regulated requirements and achieves great reports at inspections.

Essential Qualifications and experience:
L3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce (or willing to work towards) or relevant degree e.g. in Social Work
Leadership experience
Up to date training record
Relevant experience of working in successful Ofsted registered EBD children's homes with good or outstanding ratings
Excellent I.T skills, including report writing
Excellent knowledge of the Children’s Home (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards within it
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
Working towards Level 5
Experience of PACE model
Team Teach trained
