Crynodeb
Responsibilities include: Comprehensive reviews for new patients commencing anticoagulant therapy. Actively involved in the management of the UHS Nurse Led Anticoagulation and Thrombosis. Pre-operative bridging service of stable and complex cases. Provide advice to staff trust wide and primary care on anticoagulation issues as required. Delivery of education and clinical updates on venous thromboembolism (VTE) across the trust to all staff as required. Support the Trusts VTE prevention strategy, including risk assessments and thromboprophylaxis in line with national recommendations. Experience and skills needed include: Registered general nurse Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allowing you to support patients and their families effectively during challenging times. Awareness of owns education needs and wiliness for self-development to complete Anti-coagulation and thrombosis competencies and work towards becoming an Independent Nurse Prescriber.
